The Class Pass is a free card that gives current students, faculty, and staff at The Claremont Colleges and The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS) unlimited rides on Foothill Transit buses. It also helps the entire community by reducing traffic and parking congestion around campus. Not bad for a piece of plastic.

The Class Pass is accepted on all Foothill Transit Local and Silver Streak buses, which connect to 22 different cities throughout the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, plus downtown Los Angeles. Your Class Pass does not include the Commuter Express Lines 493, 495, 497, 498, 499 and 699.

Your class pass is loaded onto a TAP card that is accepted on 25 transit agencies across LA County. If you want to transfer to another agency, you can load cash value onto your card. Find out how on our TAP page.

Just bring your current faculty, staff, or student ID to the Connection and ask for your Class Pass.

If you lose your Class Pass, visit the Connection, pay a $10 replacement fee, and you’ll get a new Class Pass on the spot!

Foothill Transit Lines 188, 197, 292, 480, 492, and 690 travel throughout campus, stopping along Indian Hill Blvd, 1st St, Claremont Blvd, and Foothill Blvd — check out the map for locations of stops. Lines 292 and 690 run Monday through Friday, while all other lines run seven days a week.

Line 188 Schedule: buses leave approximately every 15 minutes. Stops include:

• Montclair Transit Center
• Claremont Transit Center
• The Claremont Colleges
• Azusa Downtown Gold Line Station, where you can make FREE TRANSFERS to Line 187, with stops at:
  • Duarte Bike Trail
  • Santa Anita Mall
  • Pasadena Community College
  • Old Pasadena

Line 197 Schedule: buses leave approximately every half hour. Stops include:

• Pomona Fairplex
• Bonelli Regional County Park
• Pomona Transit Center, where you can transfer to Omnitrans and Metrolink, as well as FREE TRANSFERS to the Silver Streak, with stops at:
  • Cal State LA
  • USC Medical Center
  • Union Station
  • Downtown LA
  • Staples Center

Line 292 Schedule: buses leave approximately every half hour. Stops include:

• Pomona Civic Center
• Historical Society of Pomona
• Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center
• Montclair Place (Target, Best Buy, etc.)
• Pomona Transit Center, where you can transfer to Omnitrans and Metrolink, and make FREE TRANSFERS to the Silver Streak, with stops at:
  • Cal State LA
  • USC Medical Center
  • Union Station
  • Downtown LA
  • Staples Center

Line 480 Schedule: buses leave approximately every twenty minutes. Stops include:

• Cal Poly Pomona
• Mt. SAC
• Plaza West Covina
• Eastland Center
• Montclair Place (Target, Best Buy, etc.)
• Pomona Transit Center, where you can transfer to Omnitrans and Metrolink, and make FREE TRANSFERS to the Silver Streak, with stops at:

Line 492 Schedule: buses leave approximately every half hour. Stops include:

• University of La Verne
• Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area
• Irwindale Speedway
• El Monte Station, where you can transfer to Metro, Greyhound, and Norwalk Transit

Line 690 Schedule (paused): buses leave approximately every fifteen minutes on weekday mornings. Stops include:

• Montclair Place (Target, Best Buy, etc.)
• Claremont Village
• La Verne Library
• APU/Citrus College Gold Line station

1. Riding the bus is easy with our Trip Planner. Here you can find the bus line you need to ride and a bus stop near you to get started. You can also locate your bus using our Real-Time Bus Info.
2. Go to your bus stop — it’ll be marked with a large sign in Foothill Transit blue and green.
3. Make sure you board the right bus — when a bus pulls up to the stop, look at its line number and destination on the sign above the windshield.
4. Pay your fare — just touch your Class Pass to the “TAP” symbol right on the farebox and listen for the beep.
5. Move as far to the back as you can, and find a seat or hold onto the handrail — please leave seats at the front open for elderly and disabled passengers.
6. Request a stop — when the bus approaches your stop, pull the cord or press the tape running along the windows, then exit through the doors in the back!

The Class Pass is valid for the full school year as long as you are enrolled in one credit course at any of The Claremont Colleges. If you're enrolled in the next school year, your Class Pass will automatically reload - but you'll need to use it at least once within the first two weeks of school to keep it active.
