One ride in a single direction
Day Pass
Unlimited rides on any Local and Silver Streak lines until 3 am the next day – you can purchase a Day Pass yourself in the TAP LA app or by telling your bus operator you want a Day Pass before you pay (tap every time you board the bus):
- Tell your bus operator you want to buy a Day Pass BEFORE you add money to the farebox or tap your card. This is really important, because if you tap your card first, the farebox will automatically deduct the price of a one-way fare from your TAP card.
- Tap your TAP card on the blue circle when the bus operator indicates to. If you don’t have enough stored value on your card, you can pay the difference by inserting cash (no pennies) into the farebox. The operator can’t give you any change, so any additional cash will be loaded into the stored value on your card.
- Once you insert the fare for the Day Pass, the farebox will “beep” and you will need to tap your TAP card again to load the pass to your card.
- That’s it – your Day Pass is loaded. You can now ride any local line and the Silver Streak as often as you like until 3 a.m. the next day. You’ll need to tap your card every time you board the bus.
10-Trip Pass
Ten one-way rides, no matter how long it takes you to use them (tap every time you board the bus). Even better, it includes our free 2-hour transfers, so you can use it for up to 20 rides! It’s available on the TAP LA app or at a Transit Store.
31-Day Pass
Unlimited rides for a 31-day period beginning on the day the pass is first used (tap every time you board the bus).
EZ Transit Pass
Good for unlimited rides on many different transit agencies in LA County, including Foothill Transit – visit metro.net/ez for details Passes are available for purchase online at taptogo.net and at our Transit Stores beginning the 25th of the previous month through the 10th of the current month.
