One Day Pass, Thousands Of Possibilities

Here at Foothill Transit, we are passionate about a lot of things: public transit, sustainable fleets and…YOU, our customers. That’s why we’re excited about our Day Pass.

Simply purchase the Day Pass for $5 on any Foothill Transit bus, and get unlimited rides on the Silver Streak and local buses from the time of purchase until 3 a.m. the next day. That’s it – no fine print or hidden restrictions.

Here’s how:

  1. Tell your bus operator you want to buy a Day Pass before you tap your card. This is really important, because if you tap your card first, the farebox will automatically deduct the price of a one-way fare from your TAP card.
  2. Tap your TAP card on the blue circle. If you don’t have enough stored value on your card, you can pay the difference by inserting cash (no pennies) into the farebox. The operator can’t give you any change, so any additional cash will be loaded into the stored value on your card.
  3. That’s it – your Day Pass is loaded. You can now ride any local line and the Silver Streak as often as you like until 3 a.m. the next day. You’ll need to tap your card every time you board the bus.

Remember, you can only load the Day Pass onto a TAP card, so be sure to get one of those if you haven’t already! We’re looking at you… cash-paying riders. The future is a beautiful thing.

Happy riding, and happy Day Pass-ing.
