Covina COVID-19 Vaccination SitePosted April 15th, 2021
Eligible LA County residents with an appointment can take Foothill Transit to the COVID-19 vaccination site at the Covina Transit Center on select Saturdays. You can get your first Pfizer dose on April 24 and your second Pfizer dose on May 15. These clinics are appointment only — no walk-ins.
How do I get an appointment?
Participants must work or live in LA County. Visit the LA County Department of Public Health page to see eligibility information.
How do I need to prepare for my appointment?
- Photocopy of your valid picture ID (such as a driver’s license or a California ID)
- Proof of eligibility (paystubs, ID badge)
- Completed consent form — click here to complete the form. (This will also be available onsite.)
- Photocopy of your medical and/or prescription insurance card
- Photocopy of Medicare part B card if applicable
Please be on time and have all required documents ready. Expect to stay onsite for 15 to 30 minutes after your vaccination for observation.
Confirmation notification will be sent via email or text. The email will come from Albertsons Patient Care. Check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
How can I get to and from the vaccination clinic?
Once you have an appointment, get a ride right to the entrance of the Covina Transit Center on Line 281, which travels between Glendora, Azusa, West Covina, and the Puente Hills Mall. Buses will depart every half hour during the vaccination clinic. Fare for Line 281 is $1.50 with a TAP card. If you don’t have a TAP card, you can download the TAP app and pay with your phone or you can pay $1.75 in cash. You’ll need to wear your mask covering your nose and mouth the whole time you’re on board — it’s a federal law. If you’re not familiar with Foothill Transit, we’ve got plenty of tips and important information about riding in our Bus Basics.
The Covina Transit Center, located at 1126 N Citrus Ave, Covina, CA 91722, will serve as a new San Gabriel Valley COVID-19 vaccination site thanks to a partnership between the City of Covina, Foothill Transit, and Albertsons. It is tentatively scheduled to be open for appointments every other Saturday throughout the month, depending on vaccine availability.
Vaccinations will be scheduled and administered by Albertsons pharmacists. On-site check ins for appointments will be coordinated by both City of Covina and Foothill Transit volunteers. People with vaccination appointments who arrive by car will be able to park inside the Covina Transit Center and will be directed to a safe waiting area following check in.
