Reduced Commuter Express Service
Posted January 7th, 2021
The pandemic has changed everything, including how we run safe service. Right now that means a reduction in service. The big increase in LA County’s infection rate means there aren’t enough bus operators available right now to drive all our scheduled trips. We appreciate your support and patience as we do everything we can to operate safely and support our team members through these difficult times.
We will start running fewer buses on Commuter Express Lines 490, 493, 495, 498, 499, and 699 starting Monday, January 11, and continuing until further notice. We have seen significantly fewer customers commuting into downtown Los Angeles for work with the closures of offices there during the pandemic and the shift of some employees to working from home. Reducing service on these lines will help us continue to provide safe trips for everyone with plenty of room to keep your distance.
These new schedules will have buses arriving at stops approximately every 20 minutes during the morning and evening commute. The scheduled departure times of your usual commute may have changed, so please review these new schedules to choose the best time for you.
